Very helpful description, thanks. I do that pretty often actually, but I couldn't remember the function or whatever and just wanted to get this pic uploaded. Yes I also misread the instructions somehow.. :P
in this case, i can see that you misunderstood what the preview is, where 100x100px is the maximun size allowed for a preview image, it does not mean that it have to be 100x100px. http://img57.imageshack.us/img57/7268/dibujome3.png
I didn't mean to sound rude but what does that have to do with these sprites? Your info is wrong though, it can display 64 colors or 128 with s/h mode (which also has some more limitations to it, I can explain those if you like but I'd rather not). I'm not entirely sure what you mean by fixed palette then, but the MD has it's 32k palette and you can't change it so.. it's fixed. All colors in this piece comes from that 32k palette.
Sorry, I don't know what cropping means (I'm swedish). I guess I'll change it later but it's really not important to me. You're not supposed to look closely at the preview.
c'mon, take it easy, its not something agaisnt yo or your piece. it just seemed a relevant sub-topic to me based on the information you gave on the description. a second reading of the wikipedia article i've posted below shows that the Mega Drive engine can display "512 colors (1536 using shadow/highlight mode)" from a global palette of 32768 colors. so, technically it does not have a fixed color palette "like the NES system", but it has a maximun color display on screen.
oh, and about the preview, why don't you just cropped the image instead of resizing it? it appears you have plenty time now :P, besides, the preview may give a bad impresion of your sprites- its an advice my friend-
What do you mean non-pixel art? I just resized it in a hurry, which blurred it but who cares. The real pixel-art is inside :P
Uhm yes it does. The engine we use for this game allows a 16 color palette (drawn from the MD palette of.. well I dont know how big it is) for each sprite. They won't be shown at the same time.
Comment on the art itself if you want to comment, otherwise send me a PM with your questions.
