I think the scientist should be a alchemist or a wizard, since that's what literally a scientist was back then.

The time is a fairly open variable, not strictly bound to just medieval times. Basically early scientists and medics with medieval fighters and a ninja thrown in. Just think of it as several seperate cultures at a different rate in advancement coming together for the first time.

just curious, if this is based on a medieval theme, the scientist shouldn't be called "chemist" or "alchemist"? because i can hardly figure how a scientist could live in the same time period with the horseman, and have the knowledge to use powder to create bombs, while archers use arrows instead of guns like musketeers or rifles... and the medic...
