Yes, the dating scene was tough back in olden times. Women were always locked up in towers, guarded by dragons! And you had to stay in shape, I'm tellin' ya'. You ever try climbing four flights of stairs after a fierce battle with a dragon? And to top it off, the fair maiden expects you to carry her back down and out to safety! And, of course, the dragon you thought was dead makes one last attempt on your life by gathering the last of his strength to set the tower aflame. So there you are in your leather armor and chainmail underoos, hauling a not-so-dainty maiden (we liked a girl with some meat on her bones back then) through a towering inferno. But at the end of the day, it was worth it all to find that special someone to sire a new generation of little adventurers who you hoped would go out into the world and find the really big treasures so you could retire early.
