OOOOH RAH! BLOOD AND GUTS! GET SOME GET SOME GET SOME!
Ummmm...
The Eagle Globe and Anchor on his cap is a little different from I remember when I was in the Corps... He's very nicely done tho...
I like this one, especially the upper body. The legs do remain nicely cartoony, however I find the foreshortening has been lost in the process making it not look very leggy, more like a stumpy thing. If you brought the knee in closer to other knee, as seen in your reference, i think it would look more convincing. I really dig the colours and I think your improvised death skull is quite cool.
Theres one thing Ive been meaning to ask, it only recently occured to me, but do you draw lineart sedge? I was required to redraw the foot of a completed character which was coloured and I decided not to bother redrawing new lineart- it wasnt exactly easy! but the result reminded me of some your work. So I was curious as to know whether you made it or not. Im not critisising you for not (if you dont), just interested. It would be cool to have a lineart trade or something.
The legs were shrunk, the hands and head were enlarged and the arms were shortened in an attempt to give it a semi-cartoony look. I probably need to exaggerate the hands and legs a bit more so it doesn't look like an attempt at realism.

the upper body seems a bit too large in ratio to the lower torso and legs. I understand the whole perspective but, it doesn't work for me. Also, some of the sahding could be improved upon.. most notably, the legs as well as the bag
This is kinda from your photoshop sketch? or is it just your style that makes them look similar? In either case, good. (I do speak english, and have my whole life. Tis my mother language, I just speak it funny)
