True enough, true enough. You're the expert here anyway. When I look at the anim now I only notice if I really try so it's fine as it is. No one will notice... unless they read these comments
It definitely looks lots better now, but there's still something bugging me just a little. I think it's because said spikes are relatively symmetrical and fan-shaped, which is what throws me off and hurts the fluidity. Here, for example, this surrealist painting:

Note the slight angle of the splash and the lack of symmetry in the lines. But I'm just GUESSING at what's bugging me here, and it's STILL a nitpick. Maybe I'm just spike-racist? I only notice when I look at the frames individually anyway.
It's pretty good buddy, but the lines of the splash at the bottom are just a little too straight, which gives a feeling of a spiky ice spell rather than a watery "sploosh" thing. Just a little nitpick, though, you only notice if you stare right at it for a long while.
Kinda even looks like an explosion from a beam. Regardless, very nice
