Done in MS paint originally for the Simon the mouse thing, tweaked it a bit. And got rid of Simon. So we've got a house on a hill at night. 5 colors now, too dark? Looked much brighter when I was working on Paint in my other comp.

Quite visible at least with the "Hello Darkness" theme on my monitor, with lighter themes not so much. I like it still, it's got a nice mood.

On my monitor all i can see is the white and the lightest purple. When i edited it all in PSP i was surprised to see all the other details.
Btw your moon isn't circular enough :P

If it's too dark, it may be easier to see at 2x.

Hue shifting in Photoshop is considered acceptable. You chose your palette and that would only be refining it.
Using any filter to shift and color for you such as posterise, distrort, etc., is not cool.
