I'd agree with surt, needs more contrast. Especialy on the edges of the metal.

Nice, but the squid uses a much wider intensity range. The bone in particular needs a lot more contrast.

On seeing this piece I immediately placed it as one of squirrelsquids (still can't tell the difference!). And that is one freaking awesome mockup!
