Well it can be on there since its your handle and avatar. The way you had it was small and so far away from the bunny that the viewer would have to actually focus to see it all as a composition. Since an avatar is meant to be a 'quick read' image it was odd looking. You can still add your handle but closer and more integrated with the bunny somehow.

Something about the white space here seems odd to me.
