Some spots are indeed solid colors, but as I mentioned several times before:
This was a exercise in dithering for me. It's not that I wanted this piece to be pixel perfect. (then again, you can call that my little style)

Here's a question for you, do the solid parts bother you?

its not that this was overdithered. it doesn't even need dithering from the begining.

Maybe it's overdithering or maybe it's my high-resolution setting, but for many areas of this image it looks like a single solid color, especially the light grey object in the front

I don't like those plain red and green areas. :|

Nice curves and an interesting perspective though.

Thanks for all the credits and positive words. And indeed my inspiration came from those oldie games like Commander Keen or Space Quest.

@MrMister.. That's because I'm bad at dithering, the main reason for me to make this piece is to practice it step by step.

I cant really tell what kind of scene this could be... but it is a nice piece!

its not that its overdithered, its that its badly dithered. you poorly used your 18 colours

to be honest...if there's anything off about this it's that some of the AA seems a bit off

but other than that I love it...reminds me a lot of something from Commander Keen 5

he did good in a day, imagine what he can do in a week.

Why would you need to make an edit for him, it's great. 

yes. your dithering is good ,but is but u dithered the less important things.
if u want, open a wip thread and i will make u a quick edit.

Haha, the thing is: Work is giving me no free time this week. On the other side, this was more of a dither practice for me. If I can find some more time I'll try to make some minor changes. Any suggestions of what I can add/change spartan?
