City background :: Pixel Art Detail

This level mock-up is one of my very first attempts to draw 8-bit console game BG. It was made before http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/26902.htm, for same purposes and limitations. Original version also had battle tank in the end of the level, but it was unfinished, so I cut it.

BG itself has 16 colors, there is also four additional colors for characters sketches (20 total). Constructed from 139 tiles 8x8. Note that image is 872 pixels width, click to see whole image. Also note that it was drawn with limited number of tiles to fit into console video memory, because of that whole picture looks repeating and much of copy-paste was used.
