Thanks, I really do want to rework this piece, as I realized that I really didn't even try. Maybe I can even get it done in time for this week's challenge :D

Good luck sprucing it up, i can imagine it could end up pretty neat if you work hard enough on it.

I didn't use the spray paint tool, and yes jalonso, they are buildings, I'll fix them up now.

It looks like you used the line and spray paint tool a lot... I don't think that qualifies as pixel art.

If they are building add architecture. If they are crystals, jewel them up, etc.
The thing I notce here is that you used all the colors in the challenge but have not really used them creatively enough to justify the challenge itself. Artistically its not a big deal but it is a challenge and competing within the rules of the challenge is always worthwhile. Winning is not important, blah, blah, blah. But if you were to get a top 3 it would feel real good, right?
If so, then its worthwhile giving it your all. Or at the very least till you're SURE its good enough.

Actually, it took hours just to get the perspective lines in place, which was so frustrating. >.< The background was done by hand, no tools used. It does indeed look plain, but I don't know what do to do spruce it up.

Its a good design but the execution looks weak because you obviously were rushing or painting instead of pixelling.
Thats what I see anyhow. Can be fixed, and you should.
