In the info panel the color count is 251.
Highly zoomed in my take is lots of 'one pixel at time. with lots of overlay areas used to create some blends resulting in a high color count.
I call this a hybrid for now : /

I don't understand why some parts are shaded fairly well, while others are just left so plain. Why is there such an abrupt cut off from the normal skin color and the shadow hues? I believe you could easily blend them together if tried.
Looks great in all, but this is really bothering me...
