heh, there are some similarities in proportion, except that these were done before that game existed, so if anything, FFIII DS ripped me off :O :P

The fourth one (from left) reminds me a lot of Guybrush Threepwood from Monkey island. The're all pretty decent.

For some reason, it seems the thick pink thighs really suit the character.

I don't see any readability issues though I'm not fond of the desaturated highlights on the third sprite. Excellent work.

people like a better sense of the pixels so i've stopped enlarging even for things which are never intended to be smaller than 2x

While experiments are always good, I can't say that I like this particular way of drawing caricture legs which are too small and don't really please the eye. Upper half is great.
