Love it, the preview looked sweet, then the actual image blew me away from just the sheer concept.

Vous avez bien planifié ce dessin et j'éspère que vous fassiez beaucoup d'autres aussi bon (ou mieux) que celui-ci.  Bienvenue à Pixel Joint!

First I must admit that I speak little English so I shall put my answer in french and then translated into English by Google.

Thank you for your encouraging comments. I agree with the black lines. I will try to do better for my new design. Some noted the bg. I like it very much. The isometric perspective is the most fun of all. Anyway thank you, it makes me want to continue and progress.

A bientôt.

See you soon.

6/7 for the great concept and the amount of work I can see in this large piece. Great job!

I want to fave this for the concept alone, but the execution is what's preventing me to :) Post it up on the WIP section of the forums and work on the texture/detail a bit more, and I'm sure this piece will end up being in the greats!
Rating 7/7 for a kkrrazy concept, and a wonderful first piece! Congrats :)

interesting. I like the picture but the most I like is bg.

Conceptually this piece is just awesome...it makes my head hurt just thinking about how you planned this out. But it could use some tightening up technically. You've got a lot of black outlines where none would exist in real life. You should use shading to define forms rather than using outlines to define forms. Also it looks like you shaded using a gradient tool on the edges, and you did the water using some sort of opacity tool--that's generally a no-no in pixel art because in pixel art you preferably want control over every individual pixel. I understand that this is too huge a piece to have control over EVERY pixel, but the areas where you used the tools are rather small, so I feel you could have done without them. But overall this is very fun to look at.

nice escheresque piece - proves that iso is a big perspective cheat :--)

I thought it was going to be one of those physically impossible stairs things at first but now I notice it's just complex. Great first piece!  The shadows are all placed perfectly! :)

Like it how the bg tiles reflect the whole piece

This is pretty awesome for a first piece. Nice touch with the water. Have you thought about maybe adding some people or other details?

Could be funny to do this as an Unreal Tournament level

Very nice! But how about replacing those black lines with other colors? If you wish I can make an edit to show what I mean, or take a look here: http://lollige.deviantart.com/art/Isometric-shading-tutorial-59702334
Did you design this yourself, or did you have a reference?

Good job for a first entry, You should probably change the preview pic to an actual piece of the work though.

Wowzers! That's pretty awesome for a first piece.
