It's so cute! your style it's really curious, i just see your other works in your gallery and i really think so! Strange but nice colors combination :)
Basically what Doppleganger said, in addition to that i'm not a huge fan of the gap in the middle, which is only more emphasized by the black outline. You've certainly got a wonderful world in your head, please open all the doors. :)
Look at those happy buddies! I think that you could use some general AAing and smoother lines. The shading could also be defined a little better. Right now it looks a little haphazard. Finally, the black outline isn't doing it for me...
The character design is fabulous and I'm led to believe that technique is the only thing holding this piece back.
