@Surt: I thought so... but even with this problem of the blending in the zone of the zoom, using a marquee would be focusing even more on her face, more that the fact that its an animated object would be. the boundaries, even when they are not obvius, they are not necesary, considering that her face itself its stands ups enought to don't blend with the background, and attract the viewer to her. this wasn't made for a pixel artist audience, yet for a more natural common viewer who doesn't pay much attention to these minimal details.
I think in the part where she's shown against the landscape then a zoom of her face is overlaid can be confusing as there are no obvious boundaries on the zoom.
