C64 limitations. 16-color palette, two colors per 8x8 area, etc.

Here's what it looks like through a C64 emulator:

Thanks to Ptoing for suggestions on how to improve and for converting it to a .PRG

I'd really like to learn more about this style. Are there any good guides with pictures anywhere? Great job btw!

The title is what made me click this from your gallery once I made the face connection with the pun, so extra points for the funny non-pixel aspect of this piece!

Really nice...considering how incredibly hard it is to make good pictures in C64-Hires.

I truly love the use of the shapes here! It's well balanced.

Really nice style. You've got the lighting perfect which is a really good achievement seeing as you've bound to the C64 limitations.

I'm not usually fond of C64 images, but this one is so well crafted!

That style yeilds such impresive results!

Very nice. Also love the palette on the preview.
The dither on the left side of the face is a bit random-ish.
I take it you had a reference for this?

"Sugar?"

"No, Chigurh."

Anton Chagur, I think it was...the actor's name is Javier Bardem. And yeah, everything looks great except how the skin seems to drip into his hair, towards the top right portion of his head. Kinda' tricky as your palette makes it harder  to suggest what is what, but then again, that's just how C64 restrictions are, ya' know? Great movie, great piece...
