Because people like it?

I personally think it's the most lacking in pixel technique (I really should've took some more time on ironing out the rough background bits), but its popularity is probably due to the fact that it's both Zelda fanart (essentially) and a game mock-up. These are, understandably, very popular things.

I like the leaves and grass but other than that I don't see why this is in the weekly showcase.

Dude! Someone has to remake the CDI Zeldas for DS looking like this! All the horrible dialogue will actually fit if Link looks like that.

Colors + composition are great. Don't like the status bar.

This is also my favorite among the three. Although the other two were more true to the originals, this one works well with the original HUD. Great stuff!

They're all super excellent, but this one is definitely my favorite :). The tree and colors are just wonderful.
