This is my older work... Smileys set of html irc logs for Tycoonez.com:munity...

Basic condition was minimal colours and strange face expression...

EDIT: Damn, I don't know count... It's 12x12 not 10x10...

totally agree with BlackDragon, a little imagination wouldnt hurt... neither would AA

I still beleive you should do something. Why not AA, I mean look at the mouths, they are very jagged and cry for some AA. Look at these for inspiration:

I'm not sure use AA and more contrast becouse I hate coulourful smiley on web pages... But thanks for suggest...

Some AA and more contrast would help. Also try being more original, make it stand out.
