This was my gift for MrMister whose interests included listening to Frank Zappa. I tried limiting my palette (just 9, yay), did some aa, studied anatomy and a buttload of reference pictures... It's not perfect but I can honestly say I worked real hard making this (using all the advice I've gotten from so many wonderful pixel artists over the past year) and I hope it shows. ;)

His face doesn't exactly look like Frank, but you can recognize him easily by his artistic mustache And i think you did really well on the BG and the haircut, nice job!
Tried a very quick edit (was bored, probably useless edit...), darker space between eyes an eyebrows maybe helps a little bit. But now he looks naughty. XD Okay, nevermind. XD
Yeah the eyes were the only thing I wasn't happy with... I kept redoing them over and over and over again but couldn't quite capture them just right. ;)
Recognized him just by seeing the preview. :p (kay, anybody who knows Zappa would have recognized him seeing a mustache like that) Looks like him almost well, the eyes could be more... er... less clean. Maybe the space between his eyes and eyebrows should be darker... dunno. Realeh nice anymway...
