Had to take a look at the game, and was surprised to learn that it is a remake of one of my favourite games from childhood :) Great job! And this piece looks imo much better ingame with the parallax scrolling ;)
awesome lightening. would be sweet if the clouds were moving though :)
I love it! I don't really care for the lightning effect though.
The lightning effect works perfectly for me, but maybe the strokes are too close in time from each another. How about a few more frames of still landscape between some of them?
looks cool, bottom with spooky eyes puts me off it though
amazing!!! But the lightning seems really weird. Should of just made regular lightning.
Faved fo'sho.

Really nice image, just the lightning effect doesnt work for me.
I also checked the game, and the intro sequence with logo and paralax is so fast I almost didnt notice it. Feels like an illustration like this deserves more 'space'.
Why are the clouds in this format?
Also, why the lightning doesn't iluminate the mountains?
Really awesome mysterious atmosphere, I love the lightning too
What I like about this picture is it doesnt use those random colors that some very high profile pictures use... I mean their wonderfull I just never understand when and how to use them. This uses all the colors youd think it uses awsome job!
Oh, this looks delicious. Great atmosphere. Really liking the rocks. Also, normally this much dithering is a little iffy, but in this case it gives it more of a video gamey look :)
Very nice. Also those red eyes at the bottom there are going to give me nightmares. :(
This is AWESOME. I don't think the animation ruins anything, btw.
Looks great!
I realize you may not want to do any more work on this piece as the game is longer in production, but if you ever do plan on continuing work on it I have a few suggestions on how I believe the atmosphere can be taken even further:
1. Brighten entire image by 5 - 10% when the lightning flashes.
2. Animate grass blowing in wind (just 3 frames would look great).
3. Adjust brightness/hue of near mountains so they are not brighter than grass. This should improve the sense of depth.
Am I the only one who does not like the lightning?
Its good thou, but it looks a bit too spread and too light from the edges.
Well, I am weird too.
I love that grass!
