cleaning up my harddisk - well, for the weekly challenge initially, but got stuck on this pixelation thingy.. originally planned to enter mockup frenzy #2: 'gameboy demakes' over at pixelation with this one.. didn't succeed. no time. until xmas. non-'point'n click' (thus action-)version of monkey island for nintendo gameboy - lucasfilm did this with indiana jones' last crusade + the fate of atlantis for amiga and pc back in the early 90s.. title-screen and insults-swordfight.. 2 more screens (jump'n run catacomb-level and sokoban-like level inside the ship) still in 'real soon now'-status (also entered the pixel-competition at the tum demoparty as 'the blonde girl's name is guybrush'. 3rd place. damn =) edit: wip-animation

@gas: yepp, i know about the ghosty look issue.. the low contrast is due to gameboy's 3 color-limit for sprites (replacing the dark grey pixels by black ones wouldn't work on that background)

Looks great. One thing that disturbs is that selfish pirate guy. He looks like ghost comparing to his opponent. If he doesn't suppose to be the ghost some dark pixels for contrast is a must in my opinion.
