wow thats great, the fact that you have done AA makes it look much better.

I like this piece. especially the perspective that you drew it at.

Thanks for all Your comments, I was a bit skeptical myself as to whether or not it would get into the challenge, I didn't take enough time to read it properly till the piece was more than half done so... If it's not accepted into the challenge then that's alright.

Smifff. (Level 1 Intern) @ 1/8/2008 15:04
Wow, I'm not into any NFS games, but this looks very nice! Good job.

Koch (Level 6 Made) @ 1/8/2008 11:46
I merely meant that it was based on a screenshot of the game (3-D).

Varock Shade (Level 7 Underboss) @ 1/8/2008 11:28
Well, compare it with the ref again koch... You can't just say it's a trace because it looks like the ref...
about the piece: I like it, but I would have gone for thicker black lines, and I would have also made the colours oversaturated... And for speed I would have added lines on the sides of the containers, ship and ground.

Koch (Level 6 Made) @ 1/8/2008 09:01
Besides that it is a trace of the actual screenshot of the 3-D game.  Technically isn't everything on this site 2-D, I mean it's on the screen, right?

Koch (Level 6 Made) @ 1/8/2008 08:58
This by no means could be construed as a 2-D mock up, sorry.  Well, Bengoisha, the challenge wasn't pixel a 3-D custcene from a 2-D game that was a remake of an originally 3-D game.

Pnaky (Level 2 Peon) @ 1/8/2008 07:32
I like this style too... Simply useful...

jalonso (Level 11 Godfather) @ 1/8/2008 07:31
I was confused myself which is why I added it as a 'scene' and not into the challenge.
I figured member input would help definig this entry for now.
It may be added to the challenge by the deadline.

Esy (Level 1 Rookie) @ 1/8/2008 07:14
no more detail ;] i love this style ;] remind me tech demo on atari ;pp

Bengoshia (Level 3 Stalker) @ 1/8/2008 05:25
This technically could be a 2D mockup for a game, you know, cutscenes and all.

The main thing that bothers me about this piece is that it seems just straight from reference-to-pixels, instead of adding your own creative twist of perspective, light source and cars, you just you know, traced in a way. Also like Equilibrix said, needs more detail, alot more.

Equilibrix (Level 5 Captain) @ 1/8/2008 05:18
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the challenge supposed to be a 2D mock up of an existing 3D game, featuring a main character and at least one enemy/opponent? I can imagine the car in the front is the main one and the others are opponents, but where's the 2D mock up?

The picture itself is quite good, but I think it deserves more detail!
