For the Weekly CHallenge. Based on Doom 2: Hell on Earth. Ref : Screenshot There has been a 2d fanmade version which used actual graphics from the game. Here is a screenshot Thanks for the advice Jal. This mockup is a side-scroller. Since you can't jump, in this instance you'd have to finish off the flaming skull then run off the ledge down there and shoot the shotgun guy, get the red key and some stairs appear in a doomlike manner, then you open the door, get the megasphere and teleport to the top right and continue.

it doesn't even resemble doom. even with that guy up there aiming with a stick. it doesn't look like a 2d version of doom.

there are way too many oekish elements on this mockup my friend, specially on these textures you tried in the blocks. the whole composition doesn't make much sense. and the supposed sprites are suffering from some serious anatomy problems.

jal already said it: no need to rush. go and refine this. after all, it is Doom. it does deserve a more elaborated work.
