For the sword, he's swinging it from the side to the front. Again, needs speeding up.

It's very cute, but I think the animation could use some work... it kind of looks like he's skipping instead of walking.

This isn't actually a mockup, it's just a sprite. But it looks great! Not too sure about how he's swinging the sword though, it reads as awkward for me.
