i was doing this yesturday, and halfway through i checked the pixel site, and i saw the monkey one, i thought wow, the head just looked so good with the minimal colours, so i slightly adapted what i was doing to tht kinda style, i hope the creator doesnt mind >< well anyway this my representation of what my grandad looks like :D

haha give in ist. everyone loves the black eyes :P
I would darken the outlining grey and the ears are looking sorta jagged. nice AA and sel-out skills.

Nice stuff! I thought I recognised the concept. Akira used my lineart, but i like what youve done with this! However the eyes still bug me on both of these interpretations.
