I think it is time to loose iso virginity.=) Inspired in some way by Jal's piece. Killed over 40 hours, a little rushed on the end - it appeared to be pretty annoying, just as i suspected.=)

Unbelievable.

Blimparino (Level 1 Rookie) at 7/13/2008 6:57:18 AM

Whenever i think of a castle... i think of something you might see On Pans Labiryth or however you spell it... cause although you want it to be pretty and nice... it needs a dose of reality to where things arent always "fantasy" This isnt dark like Pands Labiryth, So it makes this piece even nicer... :}

I really really liked this.      5+++++++

MisterQwerty (Level 1 Private) at 7/12/2008 9:58:11 PM

RoboBOT (Level 4 Ensign) at 5/28/2008 3:22:13 PM

Aura (Level 1 Thug) at 5/25/2008 2:06:19 PM

best so far.... master piece....

Syrinxe (Level 1 Rookie) at 4/18/2008 2:14:11 PM
Whoa! Amazing! o_o Everything is so realistic, and with only 36 colors too! I'm only a beginning pixel artist, and I can't comprehend how you'd be able to do that in 40 hours.

KwIjL (Level 1 Intern) at 4/14/2008 5:06:04 AM

Just brilliant! a master piece!

Jaeden (Level 1 Intern) at 4/7/2008 2:24:01 PM
wow... yes. wow.

Rompecabras (Level 1 Thug) at 3/31/2008 4:23:08 AM

wow!! great noon light, like the colours you have chosen, you must be a great illustrator. The water left me wordless. Really nice work.

There should be a better navigator to see the hole picture on zoom let us drag!!

Alenius (Level 1 Rookie) at 3/26/2008 12:02:02 PM

Damn! Most people cant even make that with a PEN!! That is beautiful!

ProgZmax (Level 1 Rookie) at 2/26/2008 1:39:05 AM
Fantabulous.  One of the most impressive uses of 36 colors I've ever seen!

Favorite + 5/5.

Acherhar (Level 5 Soldier) at 2/24/2008 10:52:29 AM

Oh my God....

EDIT: Inkspot captured my feelings perfectly. I was talking to myself over and over, and my eyes were actually getting watery... I must see more.

kingaschi (Level 1 Rookie) at 2/23/2008 3:17:29 PM
damn you

Arbor (Level 1 Depressed) at 2/23/2008 10:53:53 AM
...holy cow. .../holy COW./

i am beyond amazed at every single tiny detail you added in. The water looks phenominal, all the little people running aorund their job fill me with complete glee. The rocks underwater and around the eye ridge are breathtaking. the lovely little hits of cobblestone, the stairways, the tightrope walker.. I can continue to stare at this for an hour or more, and find something new to delight in every moment.

Squeemish (Level 1 Rookie) at 2/18/2008 1:56:55 AM
Good lord. That's amazing.

FlyGuy (Level 6 Made) at 2/17/2008 10:21:47 AM

Elwin (Level 4 Mercenary) at 2/17/2008 4:18:54 AM
1st place is too low for this one :P

Bacteriophage (Level 2 Hired Gun) at 2/16/2008 10:56:49 PM

buloght (Level 6 SWAT) at 2/4/2008 12:10:19 PM
Wow. I love especially the water parts and details in the small characters, their body positions are so easy to read at the incredibly small size.

SynZygfryda (Level 1 Rookie) at 2/4/2008 9:59:08 AM
first I saw a drakkar... than I had a dream...

ZxC (Level 1 Rookie) at 2/3/2008 7:10:30 PM
Gasp, amazing detail. Perfect!

EvolMate (Level 1 Intern) at 2/3/2008 3:30:47 PM
perfection of isometry... The best thing i've seen in my short life! Fool, ты бог - как всегда...

emlan (Level 1 Rookie) at 2/3/2008 11:05:12 AM
This truly is amazing!  Looking at it really makes me want to try doing an iso piece too, even though having to use proper lineart just don't mix with me. Only thing I miss is seeing a fish or two in the water!

Mrmo Tarius (Level 3 Enforcer) at 2/3/2008 4:50:09 AM
omg.

a fisherman! in the nostril of a giant stone-dragon head! which serves as a dock/entrance for an isolated island-castle! Which is, by the way, one the most impressive iso-piece I've ever seen :D :D

also, the preview is kind of misleading :D :D

Fool (Level 6 SWAT) at 2/3/2008 3:58:24 AM
Thanks everyone for comments and kind words.=)

Skull, yeah, I wish.=)

zi-double, iso is not my thing, I like free form drawings a lot more, just was curious to see if it possible to get a readable piece of this scale.=)

darokin, no way, I'm not suicidal to compete with Jal.=)

Metaru, you are not expect me to pay a child support, aren't you?=))

Max Marshal, that is not a stray pixel, this is a signature and brief info on artist.=) You just have to zoom it good.

Inkspot, I'm not really an iso man , I got an urge to fix perspective so bad during working on it....=)

Morgan cook, fools are already crowned - with a jester hat.=)

Morgan cook (Level 4 Deputy) at 2/2/2008 4:30:30 PM
Holy.... crap!      36 colors!   I think we need to crown Fool king... Anyone agree?

1 little stray dot, bottom-left

Slemsvamp (Level 5 Lieutenant) at 2/2/2008 4:18:36 PM
This peice is like a week old and you've already got 200 favs
Imagine if it was animated!

Ricki (Level 1 Seaman) at 2/2/2008 2:55:34 PM
As usually. Great Work ....You drew the smallest details like trees in front of the entrance of castle....really great.....no more words....

inkspot (Level 4 Button Man) at 2/2/2008 11:52:09 AM
To be honest, you made me cry.Seriously, I am having real tears right now. There isn't any other pixelwork, or art, tha can have such effects on people. This made my day! I haven't seen something this amazing and joyful for a long long time! Damn, its just so..... beautiful?
Damn, really. Just damn. When do you make your own iso world?

CircleOfTheDarkOnes (Level 2 Flatfoot) at 2/1/2008 9:01:02 PM
Amazing.

Brokencode (Level 1 Rookie) at 2/1/2008 4:04:06 PM
oh crap...this picture is beatiful

oKsOner (Level 1 Thug) at 2/1/2008 3:15:04 PM
It's just crazy, i can't imaginate how much time needed for a picture like this !!!

Good job
PS : sorry for my english, i'm french ;-)

alkaline (Level 6 Yonkyu) at 1/31/2008 8:21:19 PM

Metaru (Level 8 Brigadier General) at 1/31/2008 5:36:06 PM
oh well. lets kept spamming  Fool's inbox with our messages ;D
seriusly Fool, you are our daddy.

Max Marshall (Level 1 Gangster) at 1/31/2008 3:59:00 PM
There is a stray pixel in the transparent space outside the water, it's below and left of the viking ship...

...thats just not good enough Fool

darokin (Level 4 Murderer) at 1/31/2008 3:47:41 PM
Awesome ! Only the second time I give a 6 / 6... Really nice colours, the water 'cut' is an excellent idea and is brillantly done...Very 'readable' and detailed iso piece, I love this...Great job man...
Are making a contest with Jalonso for the one who will make the most monumental iso piece ever ? :)

new-age-reject (Level 1 Depressed) at 1/31/2008 8:18:47 AM
That is immense!
I love it! 5/5 +fav!

zi-double (Level 8 Guerrilla) at 1/31/2008 4:58:28 AM

ScarredShadow (Level 4 Deputy) at 1/31/2008 3:24:38 AM
I hope you make another iso piece, that is if you have the time and patience for it again.

AndyOaks (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/31/2008 2:56:29 AM
Wow, how much work!! Amazing!

MyOvenisEvil (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/31/2008 2:45:49 AM
Wow! It's awesome! I love the amount of detail that you managed to put into this piece, not to mention the water! Brilliant!

Blu (Level 1 Depressed) at 1/30/2008 5:46:53 PM

That is SERIOUSLY INTENSE. O_O

Love the details and the water. Wonderful job...

Skull (Level 11 CEO) at 1/30/2008 1:55:15 PM
Yes, this is quite honestly, mental.
You are a man of unlimited skill - this is just amazing.

Zlothien483 (Level 1 Depressed) at 1/30/2008 1:32:25 PM

This makes me want to try iso :O

Its similar to those pieces you get inspiration from its perfection and sherish so much you just wanna freeze them so theyre forever

chanfan (Level 1 Thug) at 1/30/2008 12:04:17 PM
WOOOOW! I dropped my jaw! instant fav!

Leaf cutter (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/30/2008 10:26:35 AM
This water is even better than the real thing. My refuse to blink.

Lackey (Level 3 Chief) at 1/30/2008 9:54:54 AM
You've managed to give those tiny pixel people a lot of personality and character, it really puts the spectacular architecture over the fence for me.

vellan (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/30/2008 6:31:14 AM
great piece fool. i have always found water textures tough to nail, so thanks for providing fellow artists a benchmark to aspire to for awesome looking water.

nihilyst (Level 2 Flatfoot) at 1/30/2008 5:30:39 AM
Mind-blowing detail-work. I especially love the rough water.

Superpipo (Level 2 Quiet One) at 1/30/2008 5:26:40 AM
HOW!!!!
Seriously, this rocks
Favourited, and and how you formed the rocks in a dragon head,
you rock!
did I say this piece is just great in every way!?

Elwin (Level 4 Mercenary) at 1/30/2008 4:32:11 AM
When I saw this on the front page, I wasn't very amazed, as the ship alone was kinda odd looking. Clicked it, and was blown all the way through the house by the awesomeness of the piece ;)

Fool (Level 6 SWAT) at 1/30/2008 3:57:18 AM
No worries, Ann.=)DD is not something I'm after for, simple sharing possibility will do just fine so i do not have to sing exclusively in a shower.=) Thanks, you've been a great help.

Zweckform (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/30/2008 3:33:01 AM
Nothing to say. Speechless. Great.

Krysis (Level 6 Serial Killer) at 1/30/2008 2:05:11 AM

THIS IS THE BEST PIXEL  ART IN THE KNOWN UNIVERSE!
fav'd and 7/7.

ShoneGold (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/30/2008 1:53:33 AM
I am really sorry I can't give you a DD feature at deviantART just yet Fool, there is a three month waiting period rule between DD features....still you are nearly up to 500 favourites and 4,000 views, not bad for someone so new to dA! =)

mr mushroom (Level 1 Thug) at 1/30/2008 1:23:16 AM

i got goosepums when i first saw it, looks awsome. excellent.

EDIT: haha i just noticed the guy balancing on the rope, funny little detail.

Fool (Level 6 SWAT) at 1/30/2008 12:35:11 AM
Thank you very much guys=)
I knew that iso is deep touching heart stuff for pixelers, but didn't realize of that much.=))

lander, yeah, it is asking to be fixed, thanks=) 40 hours.
Emanu, no way, man=)
Larwick, as i see it now i would redone compositon to make things clear, but i don't think its the case now.=)
big brother, sure, it is going to be boring as hell=) Let me install satellite dish first.=)
spartan 117, flags wont hurt.=)
the B.O.B., what "ha-ha"? We, old crapers, do those things to preserve the warm in winter, one day it'll work for you too.=)
Ens, go ahead, man, that should solve good half of my problems.=))

ScarredShadow (Level 4 Deputy) at 1/29/2008 10:55:35 PM
Holy crap this is insane! There's so much detail! You even put in some little shipwrecks!  Amazing and awe inspiring...we should have an option to digg things like this, so the whole world can enjoy it.

Froli (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/29/2008 10:11:25 PM
Very inspiring.

Talos (Level 4 Lieutenant) at 1/29/2008 6:01:36 PM
This should never have been approved. It probably makes everyone feel unworthy of even setting their eyes on it. You are an evil god of pixeling. You bring darkness to everyone else's work. None will ever be able to overthrow this. It doesn't even look iso, it's too smooth and not saturated enough. this is just as iso should be, not killing my eyes. I will never be bored of this.

EyeCraft (Level 3 Stalker) at 1/29/2008 5:56:20 PM
Fool, that is easily the best isometric piece I have ever seen. It's amazingly inspirational, thank you.

Faktablad (Level 6 SWAT) at 1/29/2008 4:33:53 PM
...and I thought losing your virginity was supposed to be awkward!

blueleds (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/29/2008 4:32:03 PM

Awesome.  Those waves look great, and I like the two sunken boats you added.  The castle is Escher-like.

Royal Syrup (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/29/2008 4:28:24 PM
That is unbelievably awesome, great work!

ThereIsNoCure (Level 11 Godfather) at 1/29/2008 4:02:42 PM
I hate you. Get out now.

Ensellitis (Level 11 Special Agent) at 1/29/2008 3:54:25 PM
god damnit, i am gonna punch you in the dick

xeroxz2k7 (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/29/2008 3:30:55 PM
Woah. This wasn't what I expected from the preview. Great work as always, Fool.

Doomcreator0 (Level 6 SWAT) at 1/29/2008 3:13:28 PM
This is now on page 19 of the highest rated pixel art. AKA hall of fame.

Huggkruka (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/29/2008 2:27:29 PM
The building to the left of the umpossible tower with the bonnie lass on top of it doesnt have a texture... I'm so disappointed.

I'm ridiculously inspired right now. This is the best pixelart ever.

homosapien (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/29/2008 2:02:02 PM
Jeez, fool. Where do you find the time? Yeah, its safe to say you're my favorite pixel artist.

ndgtl (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/29/2008 1:45:52 PM
god mothaf......n daMN,,,,,, this amazing,,, gonna take a while study this b..... respect

exocet (Level 5 Captain) at 1/29/2008 1:30:18 PM
Brilliant! Good lighting and shadows, lots of details and your usual amazing technique. I wish there were games with such graphics...

Mille (Level 5 Killer Klown) at 1/29/2008 1:22:44 PM
Hey, the top of the hall of fame didn move for a so long time... this really need to go up there.

Minstrel (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/29/2008 1:01:27 PM
Something tells me I will be studying the WIP instead of sociolinguistics this night...

DeProgrammer (Level 4 Button Man) at 1/29/2008 12:48:08 PM
Wow. I have to agree with everyone on the whole "freakin' amazing" thing. I love the water, I love the rocks, I love the textures, and I love the color count. I had to take a while to notice two odd things: first, it seems the front tower (at the bottom middle of the image) isn't casting a shadow. And second, ...well, I just wanna say I laughed when I saw the little tower being held up by nothing but a bridge at the top of the image. :) Btu yeah...absolutely amazing.

Squirrelsquid (Level 4 Mercenary) at 1/29/2008 11:59:01 AM
D: you'r a genious! :D

The B.O.B. (Level 10 Master Sniper) at 1/29/2008 11:19:33 AM
Heh, I think I just heard Jalonso cream his pants, ha ha. But this is probably one of the best iso's I've seen thus far, as it's not using simple coloration, but actual pixel technique and textures. Like PB said below, dem's some beautiful ocean pixels. I also like the tiny people, and looking closely at what they're doing. The sunken ships, underwater were a nice touch as well. Very nice. However, I kept looking and looking but I couldn't find a Jester, like your handle/username suggests(I guess your yellow and gold jester character?). I was hoping he would be one of the little people in there, and I would spend all day looking for him, like Waldo. At any rate, I can't touch your talent. Best iso ever.

d-p (Level 10 Maniac) at 1/29/2008 11:09:46 AM
I want to eat your right hand...

Hîdan (Level 1 Gangster) at 1/29/2008 10:54:18 AM
Sorry to say it but I see a (small) error in your drawing, there is a pixel lost at the left and below the drawing ^ ^

Very beautiful creation: D

Adam (Level 8 Brigadier General) at 1/29/2008 10:36:46 AM
Breath-taking. It's a pity you dropped the execution scene though...

TheManuz (Level 2 Quiet One) at 1/29/2008 10:19:40 AM
I cant say anything. Simply wonderful.

Equilibrix (Level 5 Captain) at 1/29/2008 10:17:54 AM
U N B E L I E V A B L E !!! You are truly a master of pixel art! And thank you very much for the WIP, it's really helpful and informative!
