I wanted to try making a picture with a palette that I made beforehand with only a few colors, to see how it worked out, and it's not bad. I haven't drawn any horses or unicorns in years, so it was fun.

Haha yeah, I usually try for the less horsey look, but I'm badly out of practice. I also have a lot more experience drawing cats and horses, so I tend to pull most of my anatomy off of them. xD
Unicorns are traditionally even weirder than that, with the body of a deer, feet of a goat, tail of a donkey, so on and so on. But usually people nowadays just draw a horse with a horn x3
I really like this piece. Nice bright colors and lovely form.
Ahhhhh, I see. Yeah, I was going for the typical unicorn tail, which is like a lion tail and not a horse tail. It was really weirdly curved though and placed way too low, so I'm glad you drew my attention to it anyway.
Well the hair on a general horse's tail (that i know, anyway) starts much nearer the base and is longer, that's why i find it odd i guess. I know it's like, a unicorn n' all, but i guess i think the tail should be more like a natural horse ey wot, all flowing and that. Ref (not really needed but just to make sure you know what i'm on about). Atm i see a rats tail with a blue flame on the end.. eheh sorry.
I did not noticed the tail at first but now where i see it, i agree with Larwick. In my humbly opinion it looks a bit weird but nevertheless the unicorn itself looks great!
I like this a lot, good use of colors and lighting.

I wish I could say something more constructive than this is pretty kick-ass... but it is. So Ill leave it at that... and I love the tail.(yay for girlythings!)
