I would have to say that that is an ochu or a malboro. From final fantasy of course.

I like this guy though. I can see some definite improvement in your volumetrics although there's still room for improvement. A few ways to address that would be the inclusion of shadows cast by all the little intricacies and creating depth by shading things differently depending on their location in the piece. ie; the tentacles and limbs further back would have less detail and would be darker.
