I think it works fine as it is now you've removed the outline.  Nothing else is that detailed so no reason the moon should be.

true, I thought about that when I added it, time to take out the outline. Should I add craters, or leave it simple?

If that's a moon up there I think it would look better without the black outline.  Nice atmosphere for a simple piece.
