okay.. looks like i'm finally done with this one, kinda neverending story that was - have been pixeling on this piece since august 2006 (with longer breaks of course) and on places all over germany.. and austria even originally done for the gfx competition of the railways-themed and tradionally monkey-mascotted evoke 2oo6 demoparty in cologne, but probably started a bit too late and only entered this heavily unfinished party-version.. still got 7th place between dozens of finished 24bit-pieces, hehe =) final version mainly done in trains between hamburg and dresden in autumn 2007 and over the last 2 months. mix of styles and unoptimized palette aside i'm still not totally satisfied with the house especially, but don't feel like investing more months into it =) 20px border to avoid that pj-standart grey sucks the colors out, idea stolen from ilkke's =) wip-animation (247 frames, oh yes!)

Wow. Really wonderful. But I cant really understand when he is holding the little building, then there is 3 fingers sticking out, and on the top of it, there is a thumb! Very long hand in my opinion. Other than that, Awesome!

I get a feeling that the monkey is so very flat, especially the face and hand. Hand seems to be due to a lack of depth in the colours (perhaps it's just my monitor). Great pixelling of course, i really like how you did the house (because of it's depth probs?).

Watching your WIP makes me realize why I'm so terrible at realistic drawing and pixel art.

I think it's great that you mostly did this railway themed pic while riding trains.
144 colors seems like a lot, but my guess is that you have a standard 256 color palette that you later take unused clors out of. Kidding. I don't really think you do that.
Only crit would be that some of your pics share a very similar color scheme.
