Made for mockup frenzy #6 over at Pixelation. The aim was to make a mockup inspired by a song. I chose A Certain Shade Of Green by Incubus. Wanted to make it dreamlike because of the whole incubus thing. I guess it's sortof like a platformer where the evironment is all drawn as-is not tiled, which is a bit crazy but owel. That's why it's kept simple. Even so it got a bit busy by the end. The colours are painful, maybe i'll change that. F**k knows how this game would work. Enjoy. Ermmm... His ankles are tied with a bungie-cord, aaannndd... He's trying to get to the green lamppost before the cord pulls him back?

I like it how most of the on-screen stuff makes no sense at all, and requires a lot of imagination to turn into game elements. Maybe we could make like a challenge where you are required to make sense out of a nonsensical mockup? Sounds more like pixelation stuff that PJ tho.

On a side note, that's one oddly shaped turd in the bottom right!

Very nice picture. Especially the lamppost and the sign. The dithering on the "hill" looks somewhat out of place since it's the only dithering in the piece.

don't know if i like the background but great piece anyways. diggin the lantern and the items.. speedmeter, yey!

Love the song and love the interpretation. Not really sure about the odd dithered thing on the right (above the coiled rope) ... it looks a little out of place.

Over all I like the piece!
