I too find the grass/fire/wheat distracting as I have spent more time figuring it out than enjoying the lovely parts.

the shading on the paladin is very interesting! The grass/fire behind him is a little unclear but doesn't look bad at all! I just can't decide if it's fire or wheat! Good job!
