Every time see this, I think it's a boot for the first second. A better defined eye would help alot.

Ugh. Man, it's the really clever and punny images that I like the best. I'm all full of jealousy that I wasn't so quick witted. XD I love this concept, and the almost ...dirty? feel you gave it. (And the perspective. Perspective is always nice.)

Awesome style :OSomething a bit wonky with the lighting, though. The lighting on the bottom of the chess piece led me to believe it was a hollow bronze armlet at first glance, 'cause the head is saying that the light is coming from directly to the right.
As usual, I could be mistaken, but I had to voice my thoughts anyhow :)

Man, I had to stare at that for a while to tell it was a chess piece. :P Looks like a boot to me at first. Other than that, awesome idea, and cool style!
