The water is pretty good, as is the ship.. but the background takes away from the image. Feels a bit rushed I think.

I agree with all of the comments below. DETAIL.

I know you're used to making simple, smooth pixel art pieces, but this should be the opposite.

If you could, change the water, then ADD DETAIL to the mountains!

Overall, this is nice. =)

you should check out what ships really look like. they usually have a lot more sails, for starters.
