the bottom of it doesn't really look like a skull ... I get more of a squid/octopus feeling when looking at it. I like the "patch" on the top ... it's nice looking!

This is great! I love the style, and your color choice is nice, too.

I'd try to limit the colors a bit.
At least remove two?

What do you use to program?
I use GameMaker 6.1 Pro.
