@ leel: Well, for whatever it's worth, I tried to fuse the style of his recent portraits with his older stuff, like skelefunk, that use only straight and 45° lines, and then add my own little twist. that said, he's a vastly more advanced artist than I, so I can only hope to approximate.

@ Darth Mandarb: I used (in an unfortunately uncreative way, as I lack experience with it) colors from the C64 palette.

Well they're not bad, like I said, I didn't even check ptoing's gallery before commenting, it's just a general note. Just cause all the highlights are aligned in the center.. I dunno..

Bothe of the things you've brought up were stylistic decisions... Apparently BAD stylistic decisions :( Anyhoo, really appreciate the comment, I'll try poking at it a bit more. ;)

uhhm I only have one suggestion - what's with the Neanderthal brow? I haven't really looked close at ptoing's highlights, but i think it'd be nice to spread them a bit, still keeping them symmertrical... so maybe you could have like two ... trapezoids on his brow ....

but yeaaa i just pulled that out of nowhere, it might look better it might not. You got the style pretty well though

edit: oooh and another thing - round off the head! why is it cropped?
