this is part of a pixel art project i started over at my forums. we have a pokedex project in which i collect the best fake pokemon around the place.
the thing is many people felt left apart, due to their not so great spriting skills. so the point of this project is to allow everyone and anyone to contribute to the dex project with pixel fan arts of our fakemon that would be like illustrations in fake pokemon cards, but pixel cards.
this is the first one i made as an example, really simple flat style. original fakemon design is by someone else though.
i sprited the silver border and all the card type icons (which i may upload eventually later maybe), but i'm not submitting the entire card because: 1) the text font is taken from the official games, and 2) i made the backgrounds with colour reductions of some random brushing.
the main point of the project are these illustrations, but here you can have a look at how the final result turned out:
