I do apologise in advance but this is my first real pixel piece and thought I would see what you think and get any advice on it.

I tried to do my own pixel anti-aliasing, dithering for the first time and though its only a start i am very pleased with it.

So feel free to give me advice and thank you in advance .

and I agree with iLKke, maybe it would look cool if the sky was like, pink.

but it's still awesome.

Pretty nice. Sky and water are a bit too similar in color, imo. The tree can be dark like this if it is lit from behind, but at least the part of the ground where the tree's shadow isn't falling should be brighter then.

Very good and interesting picture with a lot of different objects to look at, and sky is tasty! But I think that tree is too dark. Maybe, if pic is made from separate layers, to turn up brightness of tree layer a bit (don't know if it is against rules of PJ, though)?

Don't shrink the preview image like that. Some people might vote on that without clicking on it.
