Yet another character for the background series, this time a mexican stereotype.

Hey B.O.B, I also had the impression that you were joking but this being a sensitive subject, one can never be too prudent.
I didn't know "gringo" could be an insult!
It sounds so darn cool.

Arfff, I was joking. Though I am Mexican, I meant nothing by it. That's why I put the " * " in the post, to indicate some goofy action, and hypocrisy of my statement. I guess it's hard for some users to tell when we're joking, but just to let you know, half the things I say aren't meant to be bad, or emotional, in the least.
"Gringo" is another slang form of "white person/American", like "Guero", another slang word for da' white folks. Most of the time harmless, but can still be used as an insult. Just do know if anything, I'm more of a coconut, than Mexican.("Coconut"= white on the inside, brown on the outside. An ethnic person who looks or is ethnic, ie Mexican, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Japanese, Chinese, but acts and speaks like a white person without any trace of his own ancestral culture).

fair enough but what did you think of when you first read it? was it americans?

I thought "gringo" was what mexicans called Americans?  I could care less, was just curious :)

Either way ... good pixel here!

His chest looks very boxy and abnormal, but other than that, it's a very nice piece. Despite the heavy stereotype, of course :D

Thank you all for your comments
I am sorry if I offended any mexicans, that was deffinitly not my objective.
You know, I am a foreigner myself in the country I live. An emigrant. I deal with stereotype issues everyday.
if I was going to be furious everytime I get stereotyping comments...
I would have become a rather lonelly person

Aunqe el taboo de que todos somos iguales a todos, debo decir de que los mexicanos son como cualquier otra persona, pero cuando uno piensa como dibujar a un mexicano, lo primero que se le viene a la mente es este dibujo.
me encanta :D
muy buen trabajo!

Well, sir, I am offended. Mexicans, like myself, are not lazy, and we certainly do not wear ponchos and sombreros all day....*looks in mirror and sees giant sombrero on head, and quickly takes it off*

. . .

That's right, we never wear them... : P
