This is very cool! There's some slight depth issues where the organics can be seen through the mask but, seriously, just slight! I dig and it love stuff that looks 3D when pixeled properly!
The light side of his face stands out as jaggy ... but that might just be because of the theme I'm using ... but it might could use some AA.
It 's nice to have a scientifical name to it it's a phenomena related to 3D illusion, isn't it? there is an ambiguous frontier between eye-troubling and eye-catching in this piece... At least that's my perception of it, but there are high chances I suffer from slight color-blindness
Looks quite cool! Just one crit though: Dithering red on blue is not a good choice, it causes chromostereopsis. I highly recommend not to use it except if you use it purposeful.
