Yeah, I haven't done anything pixel-art related in a while. I got the inspiration for this when I got MK Wii but for some reason only got as far as the track.
I wanted something to hint at motion so I was going to go with white stripes at the bottom. I was trying with clipping layers but it got annoying so instead I chose the more fun option and made the items! Oh no, he misses the Mushroom! :(
The second largest sprite of the items was resized and cleaned up for the largest and just resized for the smaller ones (I cheated!).
