Thanks Opacus. Here was the mockup i used to get hte job: http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e199/sharprm/pallete.gif. Goodluck on your current project - he is a nice guy. 6dof - I played around using the CMYK to get rid of the cyan but I think it makes the piece look colder the more grey it is. Next piece I better practice a more detailed background - the last one was too simple too. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e199/sharprm/WOLF24.gif
The only problem I can see is the excess of that cyan for the water and sky, the flat color doesn't really have any texture which makes it feel seperate from the characters (the crocodile's texture is perfect). Because this is not an in-game scene giving it more detail should not be problem.
M.E. - thats interesting that you don't like the white outlines because I disliked them when other people used them. I 'sinned' this time because the jungle tiles are really detailed and the animals have a different perspective. It helps them stand out. You are spot on about design inconsistencies - this piece there are some thick lines that I planned on removing. I became busy with uni so there was a rush for me to finish it.
Glad you like it Cheshire. I didn't come up with the game idea btw.
Man, I'm not really casual player and don't play this type of games usually. But THIS game I've played almost for hour! I'm even was at 8th place in highscores
Nice color-usage. There are a few design issues where things aren't executed the same way. In the game itself the white outline on the targets is bothering me a bit. But apart from that I really like the overall atmosphere. (Maybe hint on the space-bar... I didn't really read the instructions .. but I don't think many gamers will do that ...) The ape and crocodile are my favorites!
