My first challenge piece.
I used the Vespa by Piaggio as model, the moon is quite invented, and that weird bottom halo doesn't convince me much....
It's my only attempt so far, so I can only improve!

Changed point of view in order to have a 4:3 ratio, I still like it =P

Edit, added dithering

Yeah I know, but the time I did that I didn't know how to dither properly, I focused on the colours and the palette.
Maybe when I have some spare time I can work on it more...

this is really nice, but i find that "Glow" effect a little strange,compared to the moon which is highly realistic  the glows lacking detail and colour, maybe try dithering the colours to get a half way colour,

Lunar phases and sunset/rise not does not concide, you know; actually the moon have to reflect the sunlight to "rise", you are right, but it isn't obvious that the moon rises at sunset.
You can see the moon even during the afternoon!

This piece is misnamed, lol. If it were a moonrise, it would also technically be a sunset. Sunsets in space are much more colorful.
