Don't tell others to drop the topic then continue it. It's the age old "getting the last word in". All can agree this isn't a big deal, and no conflict remains. Peace, Love, Harmony, etc. Discussion officially over, any further off-topic remarks on this piece will be deleted.
As for the piece itself, there are a ton of colors used that aren't even distinguishable with the naked eye, your should optimize your color usage. It's also looks rather flat, try adding highlights to liven it up. Even then though, 2D swords are overused as subject matter in pixelart, from what I've observed, and are generally uninteresting, though that is only my opinion.
ok the ref i found is probs the ref he used ok, what i was saying or trying to say is that he isn't listening to crits. and that he won't accept that he used it as a ref ok?! i wasn't saying he traced it just a REF! drop the topic!
And don't whine about it in the chatterbox either. If you have an issue with a piece, alert the mods and let us take care of it, no need for vigilante justice.
while, indeed, he fails at mentioning that he used such image as a reference(because the coincidences in both models are evident enought to prove it), yours is not the way to do things purpletree. besides, all he did probably was just an imitation of the sword, not a direct trace of it, so there is not big deal. just ask him if he used that as a reference and let it go.
and yes it could do with a lot more shading and detail, that is why i am going to vote no.. you should take it to the wip forums and get some help on it good luck~ :P
