Nice edit arachne. And yeah, i'm aware of the lack of polishing. I do this for a competition, and i fell out of motivation at the end :P

It could use a good deal more polishing, but you're off to a good start.  The palette looks interesting, although it could use a bit more contrast. Some of the shades are a bit close together and the gray in the eye doesn't quite fit. I think the biggest problem with this is volume.

Here I've tried to shade the surfaces to show how they're angled towards or away from the light source. (I wasn't quite sure which direction you intended, so I just picked something.)
