Yeah, outline shading can help. The back of #2 has issues with it's head, as tou antialias with a darker shade between the stripe and the normal section of the head.

vertigo, i'm guessing it's because the ones on the right are normal colours and the ones on the left and shinies.
skamocore, with all due respect to the great entries of that challenge, i think not many of them are a great example of well studied pokemon style... but i do agree, these need some work.
mini, try not using black all the way around the outline, but leaving the outlines of lightened zones free of black pixels.
Would be nice if you could give this submission a little more refinement as a whole piece. EG. get rid of the green and red lines, and properly order the creatures, make it presentable. :)
Most of these are actually looking pretty good, however I think you should try studying the style of real Pokemon sprites a bit further if you really want to go for an authentic look. Specifically note how they use dithering and selout.
