This is a cave pano I made for my game. Took maaad long. i was inspired by this arch typed cliffs I saw on google. I tried to imitate the rainbow shaped cliffs because it's unique, you usually only see a bunch of rocks in rpg cliffs. Also I made them white/purple because cliffs are usually brown and I'm always looking for new and interesting ways to present cliffs.

What you're doing is just not pixel art in any way. Not everything done in Paint is pixel art you know. You use hundreds of colors, don't pick your palette, place pixels randomly without putting thought into it. It's just garbage pixel wise and it doesn't belong on this site...

I placed all the pixels but the reason why the colours flow so nicely is because I got my pallet from a photo. Back then I didn't care about colours and used them as I needed to, but now after seeing this site and all the crazy colour conservation nonsense, I'm trying to be extra careful about how many I use.
Here are the wip scenes where you can see me sketching out the details of the cave and the picture where I got my colours from.

I shouldn't have to prove myself with every piece, I wouldn't be gassing you guys.

that's three now?
you're using way too many colors on these pieces.
I know it's wrong to make accusations, but I'm going.  you're not placing each pixel one by one, as a pixel artist is supposed to do.  you're obviously doing some kind of blurring, rendered brush, something...to these pieces so they're "smooth" and are made of so many colors.  read the rules and learn to pixel.

When you say cleaned up do mean in terms of the cliffs? Like do you have any suggestions on how/what to clean up?

I think with 329 colors people are going to wonder how you could have possibly done that all by hand without the use of any dirty tools. Certainly doesn't need that many. It's not bad, but it needs to be cleaned up.

Lol no I didn't use any filters or none of that junk, But I did steal some colours from an irl photo, dunno if that's cheating or not but I put it all together myself. I think I borrowed some of the ground from my last supper peice to serve as the lighting. I just use mspaint because everything else like I don't want to learn about like those crazy programs because I don't need them.

not pixel art.  this is pixel-level detail, but there's noise and smoothing that can only come from dirty tools (at best it's an indexpainting).
