Something I've been working on, on and off, for the past few weeks. A re-imaging of the game Ikaruga if it was done with 2D graphics. References were just random screen shots I got from a google image search.

Comparing this to the actual boss, I'm awe inspired.
I like how you put both Ginkei and Ikaruga in the picture as well.

Anything but the background. I think the interactive white areas need to stand out more from the background.

if u ever saw ikaruga youd notice the backgrounds and such look like they have depth issues and angle issues too, its pretty wierd
