You might want to also rework the black outline on the guy since you don't use black outlines anywhere else. Maybe a dark brown which can then also be used to add some contrast to the sand. Maybe too a little bit of white here and there on the sand? Also maybe if something were floating on the water it would tell a better story. For example he's sending a note in a bottle, or a bottle is coming in. Or, even a really crappy raft that sank and is underwater? What I'm trying to say is that the idea is there but you can complete it better so that the story makes the scene.
